Streaming

These questions pertain specifically to our streaming on Twitch.

Question What agency do you run through?
Answer The company PDStig, LLC, which is run by the main streamer (me, Patrick), manages the copyright and operations of this website and also manages the finances and legal matters regarding the VTube streams.

However, the Intellectual Property of the characters themselves still belong to the individuals who created them. PDStig, LLC only acts as a "manager".
Question What technologies do you use?
Answer This question will change often, so continue to check back to see what we are currently using.

Models
All models were created in VRoid Studio. All of them had at least some personal customizations done to their textures (via. GIMP) or have third-party items which were downloaded or purchased from the BOOTH store.

Voice Changing
For Dakota Hearts, I use a custom voice profile I made in Voicemod.
For Lovinity Hearts, I'm still trying to find a voice for her.
All other characters are voiced solely by the talent and do not use any voice processing.

Tracking
I use Warudo as my main tracking software for Lovinity, Dakota, and Reese Hearts.
My regular guests (Harmony and Rainbow Bridge) use vSeeFace as it is simpler / easier for them to use.

Streaming
I use OBS Studio + StreamerBot for streaming. I also incorporate overlays through Stream Elements. And I use VB-Audio Matrix to route and process audio.

Remote
I mainly use VDO Ninja or Google Voice to remote guests live onto streams.
Question What is your main selling point?
Answer Our main goal is to bring positivity, joy, and wholesomeness to others. We also want to bring some knowledge and awareness, but we do so in fun ways (for example, we bring you a bit of news through AI music or through fun debates).
Question Why are you not a consistent streamer?
Answer I can't afford to be.

Work often demands my attention in very chaotic and unexpected ways which interfere with my ability to stream (and also result in frequent cancellations and re-schedules). Should I begin to receive income from streams (which cannot happen until I become affiliate), this will become less of an issue.
Question Why don't you stream often / for much time?
Answer I can't afford to.

As mentioned in a previous question, work often demands my attention in unexpected ways. And since streaming earns me no income right now, work always gets priority. This means I don't have much time I can allocate to streaming… and any time I do allocate frequently gets changed or cancelled.

At this time, my streams average 1 to 2 hours each, and I usually only stream 1-2 times per week (but may do more if I'm lucky and have the time).
Question How can I keep tabs when your schedule changes?
Answer My stream schedule changes often due to work. And I may have some last-minute cancellations or changes.

The best way to keep tabs on that is to regularly check out the schedule page on this website. I do not use the Twitch schedule because it does not offer enough flexibility (e.g. I can only schedule weekly shows and cannot do one-off re-schedules or cancellations).

I do my best to keep the schedule page on this website updated. Sometimes a cancellation is so last-minute that I am not able to let anyone know about it or even update the schedule; every now and then when work needs my attention, it needs it immediately. I apologize when that happens, but it is beyond my control. And I thank you for understanding.
Question Can I share content from the Twitch channel elsewhere?
Answer Yes! You can share clips, highlights, or screenshots wherever you wish. I do have a few rules / requests, however:
  • Do not share or alter the content in a way which misleads others from the actual context of what was happening or being discussed
  • Provide a prominent link back to this website and/or the Twitch stream, and encourage others to check it out
  • Do not claim the content nor the characters as your own (even if you add special effects to it or make other edits)
  • Please refrain from excessive editing. You can inject sound effects and props etc. but do not substantially alter the original content

Thank you!
Question Why don't you stream games that often?
Answer I (Patrick) have a photosensitive seizure disorder. I must be very careful around most games as they often contain flashing lights and quickly-changing scenes. Therefore, we don't stream games that often. We focus more on talk shows.
Question You have multiple VTube characters. Are you Plural?
Answer No. Each VTube character I use is an original character I made for role playing. Think of me using them as VTube characters similar to LARP (live-action role playing).

In real life, I only have one persona. And I am one person role-playing as different VTube characters (usually not at the same time).
Question Why are some streams never available on VOD?
Answer There could be several factors which contribute to me ultimately deciding not to make available a live stream on VOD. Here are a few potential reasons:
  • Too many Content IDs
It is disgustingly easy to trigger Content ID on Twitch and YouTube (even nature sounds trigger it!). If any of my live streams trigger Content ID more than a couple times or for more than several seconds, and it is not something I can appeal, I will not make the stream available VOD.
  • Low-quality stream
If I felt the overall stream was particularly bad in quality, I won't make it available on VOD. This could be because of several things:
    • Lots of technical issues
    • Poor performance by my part or my guests
    • Very low viewership
    • Bad actors in the chat (if I had chat visible or if dealing with them disrupted the stream)
  • Something was said / shown which should not have been
If I or one of my guests shows or says something on-stream which could be in violation of the platform's Community Guidelines, I won't take any chances, and the stream will not be up for VOD.
